SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist put the Shawnee world back in order with an 81-67 victory over St. Gregory's in Sumner Field House Friday in what was an exhibition game for the Bison.

Britt Hammons and
Chandler Rickey dominated, each recording double-doubles. Hammons had 23 points and 10 rebounds while Rickey posted 21 points and 10 boards.

Caleb Norris scored 13 while
Vladimir Nemcok added 11 points and five assists.

OBU was stingy defensively, forcing 18 turnovers with three steals by Nemcok and holding the Cavaliers to 39 percent shooting for the game. OBU controlled the boards to the tune of 48-38 for the game.

The Bison led by as many as nine in the first half after a 17-2 run fueled by seven points by Rickey. OBU led 35-28 at the intermission.

SGU took the lead briefly with 16:22 remaining in the game but only scored four points over the next eight minutes while OBU climbed back into the driver's seat and led by as many as 18.

The game counted for SGU, which dropped to 1-2 on the season.

OBU opens the regular season with a trip to Bolivar, Mo., next weekend, taking on Southwest Baptist at 7 p.m. Friday and Lincoln at 2 p.m. Saturday.
