SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist returns to Great American Conference play Tuesday when they host Southwestern Oklahoma State in the Noble Complex at 7 p.m.

The Lady Bison (15-12, 9-3 GAC) wrapped up a non-conference doubleheader Saturday in Topeka, Kansas. OBU split the two matches, defeating Fort Hays State in four sets before falling to Washburn. OBU will look to even the season series with the Bulldogs (11-17, 6-6 GAC) after falling in five sets at Weatherford on Sept. 28.

Mikayla Watson leads the Lady Bison offense with 3.12 kills per set (seventh in the GAC). As a team, OBU averages 12.71 kills (fourth in the GAC) on a .204 hitting percentage (fifth in the GAC). The Lady Bison have been dominant at the net, blocking at a rate of 2.35 per set, which ranks first in the GAC and 20
th in NCAA Division II. Three players rank in the top 10 in the GAC for blocks this season, led by
Sophia Couto with 1.06 per set (third in the GAC).

Hayden Blair is now sixth in the GAC with 9.12 assists per set. Suzanny Figueiredo paces the Lady Bison with 4.55 digs per set (10
th in the GAC) and freshman Kelsi Chavez has averaged 4.57 digs in 53 sets of action.

Southwestern collects 12.0 kills per set on .170 hitting, paced by Danusia Sipa Borgeau with 2.77 kills. Kodee Avery adds 8.64 assists (seventh in the GAC) and Kaitlyn Dillon cleans up the back row with 5.34 digs per set (fourth in the GAC). Addie Aman provides 0.67 blocks per set for a team that averages 1.5 blocks (ninth in the GAC). The Bulldogs enter Tuesday's contest on a one-match losing streak after falling to Southeastern Oklahoma State in four sets last Thursday.
