HTML Stats) Oklahoma Baptist dropped a non-conference match to Arkansas-Fort Smith 1-3 (25-21, 23-25, 19-25, 22-25) Tuesday at the Stubblefield Center.

The Lady Bison (9-9) jumped out to an early 9-2 lead in the first set and stretched it to as many as 10 points at 18-8. OBU gained a 1-0 advantage with a four-point victory in the opening frame. A back-and-forth second set ended with the Lady Lions (13-5) evening up the match at one set each. UAFS took the next two sets to seal the match.

Mikayla Watson picked up her team-leading ninth double-double of the season, finishing with 19 points and 16 digs.
Cadyn Laing (13 kills, 16 digs) and
Hayden Blair (42 assists, 11 digs) also registered double-doubles in the loss. Libero
Suzanny Figueiredo paced the Lady Bison with 28 digs and Laing added six blocks.

OBU will resume Great American Conference action with back-to-back home matches on Friday and Saturday. The Lady Bison host Ouachita Baptist at 6 p.m. Friday and will face Henderson State Saturday at noon.
