SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist wraps up the non-conference schedule Saturday afternoon with a doubleheader in Topeka, Kansas. OBU will face Fort Hays State in a neutral site match at 3 p.m. followed by a meeting with Washburn at 5 p.m.
 
The Lady Bison (14-11) are looking to continue the positive momentum after winning on the road in five sets against East Central on Thursday. OBU has already faced Fort Hays State (10-16) this season, falling in straight sets at the GAC/MIAA Crossover on Sept. 16. The Lady Bison defeated then-No. 14 Washburn in 2016 at the Noble Complex.
 
OBU has averaged 12.5 kills per set on a .203 hitting percentage this season while holding opponents to .156 hitting and 11.9 kills. Mikayla Watson leads the way with 3.05 kills per set, Hayden Blair provides 8.88 assists per set and Sophia Couto leads a prolific blocking team with 1.06 blocks per set. As a team, the Lady Bison post 2.36 blocks per set, which ranks 19th in NCAA Division II. Suzanny Figueiredo scoops up 4.55 digs per set and Kelsi Chavez averages 4.44 digs.
 
Fort Hays State (10-16) is 1-6 in their last seven matches, all against difficult MIAA competition. Kylie Rollman leads an offense that averages 12.1 kills on .158 hitting with 2.83 kills per set. Amirah Bentley is the primary setter, picking up 8.88 assists, and Callie Christensen paces the team with 1.11 blocks per set, which ranks 47th in the NCAA. Libero Taylor White picks up 4.58 digs for a team that averages 16.8 digs per set.
 
Washburn (15-9) is on a one-match winning streak after sweeping Emporia State on Tuesday. The Ichabods collect 12.7 kills per set on .204 hitting and limit the opposition to 11.9 kills on only .148 hitting. Erica Montgomery is the top offensive threat with 2.89 kills per set and Faith Rottinghaus paces the team defensively on 4.59 digs per set. Allison Sadler has averaged 9.38 assists and Makayla Maxwell leads the way with 1.15 blocks per set. Washburn averages 2.34 blocks per set as a team, which ranks just behind the Lady Bison at 20th in the NCAA.
 
The Ichabods host Nebraska – Kearney on Friday evening and will play Fort Hays State on 1 p.m. Saturday. Live stats will be provided for both matches HERE.
