SHAWNEE – The Great American Conference champion Lady Bison conclude the regular season with a final league match against Southwestern Oklahoma State in Weatherford on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. at the SWOSU Athletic Complex.
 
Oklahoma Baptist (14-1-2, 9-0-2 GAC) are unbeaten in 13 straight matches dating back to Sept. 16, and will look to become the first unbeaten GAC champion since the Bulldogs accomplished the feat in 2012. Southwestern Oklahoma State (9-3-3, 6-1-3 GAC) clinched second place in the league this season following Wednesday's result in Alva, and are unbeaten in seven outings.
 
Ruth King, who scored two goals against Northwestern on Wednesday, ranks third in the GAC on 12 goals and is also second in the league with seven assists. Hannah White is second on the team with six goals, while as a team OBU has been clinical in front of goal, averaging 2.29 goals per match.
 
Defensively, the Lady Bison have been a wall, limiting opponents to just 8.7 shots, while fewer than half of those shots have tested goalkeeper Emily Griffith. Griffith owns a GAC-low .91 goals-against average and has largely gone untested, averaging just 2.76 saves per match this year.
 
Running up against the Bison is a SWOSU offense that features Division II's leading scorer, Alimata Rabo. The Bulldogs' forward has scored 16 goals in her last eight contests, including eight goals in her last three outings. Overall, SWOSU is averaging a league-high 3.14 goals per match.
 
On the defensive side of the ball, SWOSU is allowing 1.44 goals on 11.9 shots per match. Lexie Bates has been the primary starter in goal, allowing 22 goals this season against 55 saves.
