SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist volleyball will face Arkansas-Fort Smith in a non-conference volleyball match Tuesday in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

The Lady Bison (9-8) are looking to bounce back after a four-match winning streak was snapped last Thursday against Southwestern Oklahoma State. Tuesday's match is one of only three non-Great American Conference opponents left on the schedule for OBU.

Much of the strength for the Lady Bison has originated at the net this season, as OBU ranks 15
th in NCAA Division II with 2.43 blocks per set.
Sophia Couto leads the team with 1.15 blocks per set, which is 39
th in the NCAA. The Lady Bison average 12.2 kills, paced by redshirt freshman
Mikayla Watson at 2.78 per set.
Hayden Blair adds 7.91 assists and
Suzanny Figueiredo cleans up the back row to a tune of 4.68 digs per frame.

Although this will mark the 16
th contest away from the Noble Complex for OBU, it represents just the sixth true road match. The Lady Bison are 3-2 on the road this season and UAFS is 4-1 at home.

The Lady Lions (12-5) have won four straight matches entering Tuesday, which is the longest streak of the season. UAFS averages 13.3 kills per set on a .215 hitting percentage. Anna Demmer with 4.14 kills, ranking 23
rd in the NCAA, on .269 hitting. Susannah Kelley provides 10.68 assists and Debra Rogers ranks eighth in the nation at 1.34 blocks per set. Autumn Reese averages the fifth-most digs in Division II at 6.75 per set.

Tuesday's match is set to start at 6 p.m. at the Stubblefield Center. OBU will return to GAC play Friday when they host Ouachita Baptist.Â
