SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist volleyball begins a two-match Great American Conference road trip Friday when they face Southern Arkansas in Magnolia, Arkansas.

The Lady Bison look to build off a pair of conference wins from last week after OBU defeated Ouachita Baptist in straight sets and bested Henderson State in five. Through seven conference matches, the Lady Bison have dropped just six sets. Much of the OBU success has generated from great net play to a tune of 2.55 blocks per set. That mark ranks first in the GAC and is seventh in NCAA Division II.

Cadyn Laing ranks third in the GAC with a 1.13 blocks per set average.
Sophia Couto picks up 1.12 blocks (fourth in GAC) to go with a team-leading .283 hitting percentage (10

Southern Arkansas is still searching for their first GAC win of the season, entering Friday's contest with a 0-7 record against conference foes. The Muleriders rank near the bottom of the GAC in multiple offensive categories, including a .143 hitting percentage (ninth in GAC), while picking up 11.17 kills (11
th in GAC) and 10.35 assists (11
th in GAC) per set. Alexia Southern leads with 2.68 kills, Alexa Bass picks up 6.43 assists and Whitney Brown adds 3.74 digs per set. Bailey Cagle and Alli O'Banion each have 56.0 blocks to lead a Muleriders team that averages 1.74 blocks per set (sixth in GAC).
