SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist returns to action Monday, visiting Southern Nazarene for a Great American Conference Rivalry Week contest at 5:30 p.m.
Â
Southern Nazarene leads the all-time series – the most-repeated in OBU's history – 56-29 but the Lady Bison snapped SNU's six-game win streak in the series last year, 86-58.
Â
The Lady Bison (4-10, 1-7) look to snap a three-game slide against a Crimson Storm team (6-5, 3-4) that is 2-3 at home this season.
Â
Tasha Edge leads the Lady Bison with 13.9 points and 8.8 rebounds. She also led the team in points scored and rebounds last year. If those numbers hold up, it will mark the third consecutive season one player has led the team in scoring and rebounds (Charity Fowler in 2015).
Â
Katy Custer (10.9),
Lexi Williams (10.2) and
Cameerah Graves (10.) join
Tasha Edge in double-digit scoring. The last time OBU finished the season with four players at 10.0 or better was 2007-08 when Taujhnae Travis, Heather Graham, Betsy Simmons, Jennifer Jupin and Ashley Gamble led OBU to a 29-5 record.
Â
Abby Boyd leads the Crimson Storm at 16.5 points per game and 41 assists through 10 games. Adrienne Berry averages 11 points and Rachel Doerneman stands at 10.1. Danielle Gaddis leads the team with 6.8 rebounds per game. SNU has been idle since an 85-63 win at Northwestern Oklahoma State Thursday.
