Lady Bison Suffer Overtime Setback

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist Women's Soccer fell to 0-2 in Great American Conference competition on Saturday afternoon after the Lady Bison dropped a 1-0 extra time decision to Ouachita Baptist in Shawnee.
 
The Lady Bison dominated in regulation, outshooting Ouachita 17-10, including a 9-3 advantage in shots on-goal. Oklahoma Baptist were unlucky to not find a winner early on, as Jennifer Goethe, Reagan Mann and Markella Suka all had golden chances fall straight into the hands of Ouachita goalkeeper Erin Webster.
 
Oklahoma Baptist weathered three straight corner kicks in the first extra time period before the fourth corner beat the Lady Bison defense at the far post, allowing Ouachita to score the golden goal from close range.
 
Oklahoma Baptist (3-3, 0-2 GAC) returns to action Tuesday, Sept. 27 for a 6 p.m. kickoff against rival Southern Nazarene in Shawnee at the OBU Soccer Complex.
