SHAWNEE – Following a strong showing at the GAC-MIAA Crossover, Oklahoma Baptist Volleyball now shifts its focus back to Great American Conference competition. The Lady Bison are set for a 7 p.m. contest against Southeastern Oklahoma State inside Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium in Durant, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
 
Oklahoma Baptist enters Tuesday's match atop the GAC standings at 1-0, as well as 7-7 overall. They are currently averaging 11.66 kills per set, led by Nicole Fleitman at 3.06 kills/set. Defense at the net has been stellar, as OBU ranks second in the league at 2.06 blocks per set, led by Cadyn Laing, who is second among GAC players, at 1.16 blocks/set. Opponents are hitting just .182 against OBU, and Sierra VeraCruz has played a large part in that as she is averaging 4.06 digs per set.
 
Southeastern Oklahoma State sits at 7-5 overall, but have yet to play a GAC opponent prior to Tuesday's match. Abby Jameson leads the squad with 3.19 kills/set, while Julia Benford is averaging 2.50 kills/set while swinging .350. Caitlin Cosby leads the entire conference with 5.32 digs/set.
 
Conference play continues for Oklahoma Baptist as they return to the Noble Complex to take on their rivals from Southern Nazarene on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m.
