SHAWNEE – The first road trip of the season has one last stop as Oklahoma Baptist heads to Conway, Arkansas, for a first-ever meeting with Hendrix College at 6 p.m. tonight. The Lady Bison are looking for their third straight win of 2016.
Â
Abigial Hicks has netted both of OBU's goals this season as the Lady Bison have strung together a couple of gritty defensive efforts following a season-opening loss to Central Oklahoma.
Emma Beck and the defense has shutout its last two opponents, one of just three Great American Conference squads to post multiple clean sheets this season. The Lady Bison are averaging 10.3 shots per match, and converting 6.5 percent of their chances, though opposing teams have a shooting percentage of just .078.
Â
Hendrix will prove another strong test for OBU, entering the match 6-1 and riding a three-match winning streak. Hagan Griffith and Macie Stultz are proven threats on offense, combining for 10 goals this season. Defensively, the Warriors have shutout their last three opponents.
Â
Following Monday's match, OBU returns home to open the GAC schedule when they welcome Harding on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 5 p.m. at the OBU Soccer Complex.
