Reddies Sweep Lady Bison

SHAWNEE – Henderson State took two from Oklahoma Baptist in great American Conference softball action Friday, winning 5-3 and 8-0.

After falling behind 2-0, OBU scored one in the first inning on an RBI single by Madison Vaughan.

The Reddies got that run back in the second to make it 3-1 but Shalee Cordell singled in a run to make it 3-2.

Down 5-2 in the seventh, the Lady Bison got on the scoreboard with a sacrifice fly by Vaughan for the final margin.

Bailee Saye (6-8) took the loss.

The Lady Bison got five hits – all singles.

OBU had another four singles in the second game but couldn't push across any runs.

Amanda Peterson (3-8) took the loss for OBU.

The Lady Bison celebrate Senior Day Saturday after the series finale. That doubleheader starts at 1 p.m.
