Lady Bison Fall in Arkadelphia

ARKADELPHIA, Arkansas – A walk-off error capped a doubleheader sweep for Ouachita Baptist, who took a pair of one-run games from Oklahoma Baptist Friday, 6-5 and 4-3.

OBU had leads in both games, marking the ninth time in the last 11 losses the Lady Bison defense has surrendered the lead.

OBU had a 3-0 advantage after the first inning on a wild pitch and a two-run single by Corbi Parasich.

Ouachita Baptist tied it in the second but the Lady Bison took a 4-3 lead in the fifth on an RBI double by Parasich.

The Tigers scored three more in the sixth for a 6-4 lead. OBU got an RBI grounder by Parasich in the top of the seventh but the potential tying run was gunned out at home on the play.

The Lady Bison had eight hits with Burgess and Parasich getting two each.

Haylee Zimmerman took the loss.

The Lady Bison trailed 1-0 until Burgess tied the game with a double in the sixth followed by a two-run home run by Madison Vaughan.
