Game Notes

SHAWNEE, Okla. – A familiar foes awaits the Lady Bison on Wednesday evening as Oklahoma Baptist heads east to Conway, Arkansas, to take on Hendrix College at 6 p.m. in the sixth of seven straight games away from the friendly confines of Shawnee. It is the third all-time meeting between the two teams, with each team claiming a win on the road.

Oklahoma Baptist (3-5) dropped a fourth straight game last Friday, but are looking to upend the Warriors and get their season back on track. Alexis Martin, one of the top freshman goal-scorers in Division II, leads the team with 23 goals on 42 shots. The midfield of Paige Morrison, Hannah Dowell, Emily Gilbert and Allison Ingrim, who have so far combined for 43 goals this season, will look to get back on track after a tough stretch of games in Colorado.

Defensively, the Lady Bison will look to solidify a defense that allowed 19 goals per game last week. However, senior goalie Sabrina Attaway enters Wednesday's contest averaging 9.5 saves per game in her last two outings. On the ground, OBU has won over half the available ground balls, and will continue to look to the steady industry of Savannah Tompkins (19) and Suzie Wisham (12) to lead the fight on the ground.

Hendrix (4-4) has yet to record a win at home in 2016, and the Lady Bison will look to add to the Warriors' three-game losing streak in Conway. Bridget Umble and Morgan Dasch lead the team with 26 and 21 goals respectively. The Warriors have struggled on ground balls and draw controls this season, owning negative margins in both categories.

The Lady Bison will conclude their seven-game road swing with a trip to Fremont, Nebraska, to take on Midland at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 2.
