SHAWNEE, Okla. – The Lady Bison play their final game of a three-game home stand this Saturday when they welcome the Braves of Ottawa University to the Oklahoma Baptist University Lacrosse Complex for a 3 p.m. contest. It is the first meeting between the two teams, and OBU will be looking to end February with a winning record for a second straight season.

Oklahoma Baptist (1-1) are back in action after suffering an overtime loss to Montevallo last Saturday evening. The team is currently averaging 16 goals per game, paced by freshman attacker
Alexis Martin who has a team-high 12 goals.
Paige Morrison and
Hannah Dowell have also been major contributors on the goal-scoring front as well with eight and seven goals, respectively.

On the defensive end, the Lady Bison have caused 29 turnovers over the first two games of the season, including 22 against the Montevallo Falcons. The midfield pair of
Allison Ingrim and
Emily Gilbert have combined for 12 caused turnovers already, and Ingrim leads the squad with seven caused turnovers. A stingy defense, OBU has given up just 20 shots per contest and
Sabrina Attaway holds a 9.89 goals-against average.

Ottawa (0-2) is in their first year of competition, led by first-year head coach Brittany Frankenfeld. The Braves have suffered back-to-back losses to open the season, most recently dropping a 19-1 road decision to Rockhurst. Megan Kaufman leads the team with four goals, but was held without a shot in the team's most recent game. Freshman goalie Bailey Williams sports a .347 save percentage and has allowed 32 goals over the course of two games.

- The 17 goals scored in Saturday's loss are tied for the fourth most in a single game for the Lady Bison. The squad's 21 points (17 goals, 4 assists) also tied for the fourth-highest total in a single game
