Lady Bison Take Muleriders in OT

MAGNOLIA, Arkansas – Tasha Edge hit a clutch late three-pointer in regulation and then stayed in clutch mode in overtime to lead Oklahoma Baptist to a 91-88 win over Southern Arkansas Thursday.

The win gives OBU a sweep of the Muleriders, who could enter next week's Great America Conference Tournament as the No. 3 seed.

The Lady Bison trailed SAU 81-80 but took a pass from Katy Custer and knocked down a three-pointer with 29 seconds left for an 83-81 lead. The Muleriders tied the game with two free throws with five seconds left and the game went to the extra period.

Edge scored four of OBU's eight overtime points with Raquel Dudzevich getting a basket and Custer scoring a crucial basket with a one-point lead.

The Lady Bison allowed no second chance opportunities and out-rebounded SAU 6-0 in the extra frame.

Edge ended up with 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead OBU in both categories. Cameerah Graves had 19 points and six steals. Kiara Moore and Lexi Williams fouled out with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Rosa Bryant led SAU with 24 points and eight rebounds.

Now 14-13 overall and 12-9 in the Great American Conference, the Lady Bison finish the regular season Saturday at Arkansas-Monticello. The game starts at 1 p.m.
