Bison Host Saints Tuesday

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist starts the new year in men's basketball with a 7:30 p.m. home contest Tuesday against Central Christian College of the Bible.
 
It is OBU's first game against the Saints, who visit from Moberly, Missouri.
 
OBU will have a bigger lineup available with 6-8 Marko Zelic making his Bison debut and 6-8 Timotis Kuckailis coming back after missing six games with injury.
 
The Bison are 3-4 while the Saints come in with a 3-5 record.
 
OBU's Steven Green had 17 points and 10 rebounds in OBU's 89-71 win over Oklahoma Wesleyan. For Green, it was his third consecutive double-double. In those three games he is averaging 20.3 points and 11.7 rebounds. Green now averages 9.1 rebounds and leads the Great American Conference. He has a dominating lead in the GAC in defensive rebounds at 8.3 per game. No one else in the league averages six defensive rebounds per game.
 
Chandler Rickey started the first four games averaging 13.5 points. He has scored 21 or more points in each of the three games since and raised his average to 17.6 points per game. That ties him with teammate Steven Green for fifth in the GAC scoring average column. Rickey also leads the GAC with 3.0 blocked shots per game.
 
Travon Moore has averaged 12.1 points per game this season as a part-time starter. He has averaged 13.3 points as a starter and 11.3 points off the bench. He scored a season-best 22 points, however, off the bench last game.
 
Central Christian is led by DuJuan Henderson from Detroit, averaging 19.1 points per game. The last Dujuan to play in the Noble Complex was also from Detroit. DuJuan Brown is in the OBU Hall of Fame after scoring 1,895 points in two seasons as a Bison.
