LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Oklahoma Baptist gets the postseason for volleyball under way Thursday in the NCCAA Central Regional at Colorado Christian University.

OBU is seeded second in the tournament and opens at 2 p.m., Central, against McMurry in the first of two pool play matches. OBU plays Southwestern Christian at 6 p.m. The round robin continues Friday at 9 a.m. against Grace and at 4 p.m. against Colorado Christan.

The Lady Bison come into the tournament as the No. 6 team in the NCCAA and owners of a 17-13 overall record – all against NCAA Division II squads.

Southwestern Christian finished 19-13 and sixth in the Sooner Athletic Conference. Grace finished 13-17. Colorado Christian (20-10) and McMurry (18-10) round out the field

The championship is scheduled for Saturday.

The Lady Bison this year are led offensively by
Nicole Fleitman (2.88 kills per game),
Cadyn Laing (2.13 kpg) and
Kynnedy Myers (8.67 assists per game and 33 aces). Defensively,
Sierra VeraCruz averages 4.09 digs per game and
Sophia Couto (1.19 blocks per game) and Laing (1.09 bpg) lead the front line.
