Dezmond Stegall threw three touchdown passes, ran for another and
Isaiah Mallory rushed for 182 yards, but the Bison fell 55-42 to Northwestern Oklahoma State Saturday at Crain Family Stadium at the Hurt Memorial Athletic Complex.

Stegall passed to
Stephan Turner for a five-yard scoring pass in the first quarter, set up by 52-yard run by Mallory.

Stegall and
Josh Pettijohn connected for a 36-yard scoring pass, with Pettijohn making a big inside move against the grain to spring free.

OBU added a 60-yard interception return by
D'Ante Meeking.

Stegall's third scoring pass was into the hands of
Frankie Edwards.
Â
OBU's second-half touchdowns were on a 64-yard run by Mallory and a 17-yard by Stegall.

Trey Tully was good on all six extra points.

For the game, Stegall was 16 of 29 with one tipped interception and 169 yards. He rushed for 64 yards. Edwards had four receptions for 34 yards with Pettijohn leading with 50 yards receiving on two receptions.

Mallory rushed 22 times and averaged 8.3 yards for his 182, while
Dawson Myers accounted for 51 yards rushing.

Phillip Spess, in his first game back from a long injury, led the Bison with 11 tackles.
Brynden Pitzer added eight, including two for loss.
Dennis Nguyen had a sack.

Meeking broke up four passes.
