SHAWNEE – The Lady Bison are set to take on Southern Arkansas and Arkansas-Monticello on Thursday, Oct. 13 and Friday, Oct. 14 as they look to push their win streak to five straight this weekend while maintaining a share of first place in the Great American Conference standings. Thursday's match is scheduled for 7 p.m., while Friday's contest is slated for a 6 p.m. start time.

Oklahoma Baptist (12-8, 6-1 GAC) were perfect last week as they dropped three GAC squads in four days. The Lady Bison are averaging 11.67 kills per set this term, paced by
Nicole Fleitman at 2.88 kills/set, the ninth-best mark in the league, and
Cadyn Laing, who is second on the team at a 2.08 kills/set clip.
Kynnedy Myers, who last week topped 50 assists for the first time in 2016, is currently handing out 8.71 assists per set. As a team, the Lady Bison are hitting .173.

On the defensive side of the net, OBU ranks second in both blocks per set (2.17) and digs per set (17.04). With 44 solo blocks this season, the Lady Bison are peerless in the GAC, led by Laing at 1.15 blocks/set and 21 solo stops.
Shekinah Sharpe, the reigning GAC Defensive Player of the Week after averaging 5.55 digs/set last week, has a season average of 3.87, just ahead of
Sierra VeraCruz at 3.86 digs/set.

Southern Arkansas (7-13, 2-5 GAC) has won two of their last three matches this season, but is 10th in the GAC standings ahead of Thursday's 7 p.m. bout. Serena LeDuff leads a trio of Muleriders who are averaging over 2.00 kills/set at 2.69/set. Katy Cooper ranks fifth among conference setters at 9.15 assists/set. Meanwhile, on defense, SAU is led by Paige Mays who is digging out an average of 4.51 per set.

Arkansas-Monticello (7-12, 3-4 GAC) is riding a four-match winning streak and currently sits in a tie for seventh place ahead of Friday's 6 p.m. match. The Blossoms boast a pair of hitters in the top seven in the GAC, Carolina Gasparini (3.14 kills/set) and Shay Mitchell (2.93 kills/set). Kendal Vondra, who earlier this week was named GAC Setter of the Week, is handing out a set average of 9.13 assists. Defensively, Macy Mitchell paces the team with 4.54 digs/set.
