KISSIMMEE, Florida - Oklahoma Baptist saw their season come to a close Saturday afternoon, falling to top-seeded Indiana Wesleyan in the NCCAA Division I Volleyball National Championship final.
The fourth-seeded Bison fell 0-3 (19-25, 17-25, 23-25) to the Warriors at the Kissimmee Civic Center, finishing the season with a 27-13 record.Â
Priscila Mendes finished with 10 kills to lead OBU,
Kynnedy Myers had 26 assists and 10 digs, and
Carey Strong added nine assists and 12 digs.
Kaitlyn Lucy finished with 18 digs to end her record-breaking season with 978 total digs.
Following the match, three Lady Bison received All-America honors. Myers and
Cat Roth were named NCCAA Second Team All-America and Lucy earned First Team status.
Strong was named to the All-Tournament team for her performance this week.
Four seniors played their final match in a Bison uniform.
