RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – Oklahoma Baptist lost its first road game of the season, falling 85-60 at Arkansas Tech Thursday night.
The Wonder Boys used a decisive height advantage with numerous alley-oop dunks to beat the zone defense. ATU also knocked down 11 three-pointers to stretch the defense.
"There are going to be some nights that teams are going to have a good night shooting," said OBU Coach Quinn Wooldridge. "You live by the zone and you die by the zone. We knew coming in tonight that they were the most physically imposing team in the league."
The Bison got 20 points from Steven Green, who knocked down six three-pointers. Chandler Rickey added 17 points and Vladimir Nemcok had 10 points and seven assists. Timotis Kuckailis, who had eight points, led the team with seven rebounds.
