MOBILE, Alabama – Oklahoma Baptist finished off its season with a 6-1 win over Southern Wesleyan Saturday, concluding the Classic on the Hill at Spring Hill University.
Kylie Williams had two goals and Shelbie Shawn added a goal and two assists in the OBU win.
After a scoreless first half, OBU blistered the nets for a 6-goal second half.
Shawn chased down a pass from Maddie Windham and scored from the right side, giving OBU a 1-0 lead in the 60th minute.
Williams used an assist from Kenzi Bice, putting a shot into the far post for a 2-0 lead in the 66th minute.
Grace Taylor got SWU's lone goal in the 68th minute but Markella Suka had the answer for OBU four minutes later, rocketing a shot into the top net after settling a pass from Shawn.
Shawn got another assist when Yamilez Sanchez scored from 25 yards out in the 73rd minute.
Laci Williams took a corner kick from Jennifer Goethe and scored with nine minutes left in the contest for a 5-1 lead.
Kylie Williams got her second goal of the match in the 83rd minute.
OBU improved to 6-11 with the win.
