Oklahoma Baptist suffered its first ever Great American Conference volleyball loss Friday, falling at the hands of Ouachita Baptist, 3-1.
Ouachita overcame a 25-20 first set loss, winning the next three sets, 25-22, 25-22, 25-20.
OBU struggled to defend Ouachita's Abby Pickett, who had 21 kills in 43 attacks.
Cat Roth led the Lady Bison with 16 kills, followed by
Priscila Mendes with 15 and
Carey Strong with 10.
Kynnedy Myers had 33 assists.
Defensively for the Lady Bison,
Kaitlyn Lucy had 31 digs and Strong added 14. Nichole Fleitman had five blocks and Roth added four.
OBU returns to action at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, against Henderson State.
