Steve Fluke

Steve Fluke joined the OBU Athletics Department in 2011 and currently serves as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations.

Fluke was instrumental in successfully guiding OBU's transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II, culminating in the program's official membership effective September 1, 2017. In addition to overseeing NCAA compliance for the university's 15 varsity teams, he also handles other administrative roles for the program.

Prior to joining OBU, Fluke spent 12 years with Shawnee Public Schools where he guided an athletics program which was a consistent power among Oklahoma Class 5A schools. Shawnee fields 19 high school sports teams and 10 middle school athletic programs. The high school programs garnered several state titles and runner-up finishes, as well as many academic honors during his tenure. From 1991-99, Fluke was a teacher and coach with Shawnee Public Schools.

Fluke graduated from Shawnee High School before earning a bachelor's degree in business administration from OBU. He is a Certified Athletic Administrator and has served as a tournament director for many Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association regional and state tournaments.

Fluke and his wife, Lauri, have three daughters, Taylor, Alyssa and Brooklyn. They are members of Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee.
