Kenyon Tomlinson joined the Oklahoma Baptist football staff in 2026 following a collegiate playing career, military service and previous coaching experience at the high school level.
Prior to arriving on Bison Hill, Tomlinson competed collegiately at College of the Desert and Lake Erie College while also spending time as a member of the Grambling State football program. He completed his collegiate career as a defensive back at Lake Erie College, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 2025.
Tomlinson's coaching experience began during his military service when he served as the junior varsity defensive coordinator at Lathrop High School during the 2017 season. In that role, he assisted with film study, position instruction and player development while helping oversee the program's defense.
Before returning to college athletics, Tomlinson served in the United States Army from 2016-20 as a 15P Aviation Operations Specialist. His duties included flight operations management, flight tracking, equipment accountability and unit armorer responsibilities.
Beyond football, Tomlinson was heavily involved in student leadership throughout his collegiate career. He served as president of the Black Student Union at Lake Erie College after previously serving as vice president of the organization at College of the Desert.
A native of Cleveland, OH, Tomlinson earned an associate degree from College of the Desert in 2021 before completing his bachelor's degree at Lake Erie College in 2025.
