Jessica Boone was hired as an assistant to the Bison softball program in July of 2021.
 
Prior to coming to OBU, Boone served on the coaching staff of Northeastern State University, her alma mater, for two seasons starting in the fall of 2018.  

Before joining the NSU staff, the Sapulpa, Oklahoma native was a four-year letter winner for the RiverHawks from 2015 to 2018. Boone started in 206 of her 207 games played and had 183 career hits. She was a three-time All-MIAA selection and capped her career off as the program's first and only CoSIDA Academic All-America honoree.

She graduated in the spring of 2018 with a degree in Elementary Education.
