Lindsey Gunderson is a fifth-year assistant coach for the OBU Bison where she has been a part of three national championship teams and has been twice named National Diving Coach of the year.

Gunderson coached diving full-time for Minnesota State University after competing as an athlete. Since coming to OBU, 13 different athletes have been able to qualify to the NAIA National Championships, earning a total of 38 All-American finishes. During her time at MSUM, 11 total athletes qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships, where the highest finish came in 2007 when an athlete placed 13th in the Women's 1-meter competition. Gunderson has also coached diving at the high school and USA/AAU club level. Prior to coaching diving, Gunderson spent 6 years coaching gymnastics, after having competed in the sport.
Gunderson was a member of the Minnesota State University Swimming and Diving team after competing since age 12. In addition to swimming and diving, Gunderson also competed in gymnastics, track, and figure skating throughout childhood and high school.

Gunderson holds undergraduate degrees from Minnesota State University- Moorhead in Early Childhood Education and Community Health (2009), and a master's degree in Adult and Higher Education (emphasis in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration)(2013) from The University of Oklahoma. She is currently a third-year doctoral student in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies through OU's College of Education.

She is a native of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota and attends First Lutheran Church
Gunderson's research interests are: Career Development and Theory, Intercollegiate Athletics Administration, First-Generation Student Experience, Women in Higher Education, Social Justice, Adult Education, Non-Traditional Student Experience, and Educational Access.
In her free time, Gunderson enjoys spending time with her friends and family, as well caring for her dog, Abby, two cats, Carlie and Clyde.

Gunderson works full time for the University of Oklahoma as an Academic Counseling Professional for five different graduate programs through the College of Liberal Studies, where she also serves as an adjunct professor in Interdisciplinary Studies and Leadership. Gunderson also serves as a Graduate College Student Ambassador, where she gives one-on-one tours to prospective graduate students and assists in program planning for Graduate Student Life.
