Marcus Oliveira

Michael Oliveira joined the coaching staff for the Oklahoma Baptist men's soccer team in the summer of 2016 following a five-year playing career for the Bison.

During his time at OBU, Oliveira was voted the team's Most Valuable Player in 2011 and 2015. The goalkeeper also collected second-team all-conference honors in 2011, 2012 and 2015. In his final season, Oliveira logged over 1,100 minutes and posted a .680 save percentage and 2.56 goals-against average in 14 starts. 

While in Shawnee, Oliveira has also developed his coaching abilities. He has spent the last four years coaching youth soccer, and currently coaches with the Norman Youth Soccer Association.

Prior to joining the Bison, Oliveira developed his skills in the prestigious Santos FC academy in Brazil, the same academy that developed the talents of notable international stars such as Neymar and Robinho.

Oliveira, a native of Santos, Brazil, graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in December 2015 with a Bachelor's in Exercise Physiology. He and his wife, Anna, are both active members of the First Baptist Church of Meeker.
