Bison Brigade Requirements

The Bison Brigade Marching Band is now fully housed and funded by the OBU Athletics Department! You will be recognized as an OBU student-athlete for your participation in the marching program. The Marching Band activity has continued to develop into an increasingly theatrical art form. Bison Brigade members will be called upon to perform musically while executing corps-style marching and choreography. It will be necessary for members to memorize music and drill, which will mostly likely require some individual work outside of the scheduled meeting times. Below is a list of some things you can expect as a member of the Bison Brigade.

No marching band fee to participate
Apparel and uniform will be provided
Marching shoes will be provided
Meals at games will be provided
Participation in various pep events during the fall semester
If receiving a scholarship, participation in the Pep Bands during the
spring semester
If not receiving a scholarship, participation is available in spring Pep
Bands
Additional rehearsal/warm up time before games.
Housing and meals provided for preseason band camp
Housing and meals provided for those participating in J Term pep
events
Go to the home games, support our teams, and have fun playing
music!
