Ways to Give

BAA Benefits Give Now

Annual Gifts

Donations made by cash or check are always accepted. Checks should be made payable to the Bison Athletic Association or BAA.

For the convenience of our donors, the BAA also accepts donations made by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express). Payment plans are available for donors who wish to set up monthly installments via credit card, payroll deduction, or by invoice for cash or checks. Please note that all funds must be received by the donation deadline in order to count toward BAA giving level and benefits.

Gifts-In-Kind
In lieu of cash, the BAA also accepts donations of goods and/or services. All gifts-in-kind must receive prior approval from the BAA.

Other Methods of Giving
Gifts to the BAA may also take other forms, including real estate, personal property or stocks, as well as planned gifts such as life insurance, bequests, trusts, annuities and securities.  Please contact the BAA office for more information.

Capital Gifts
First-class facilities are not just important for recruiting the best and brightest student-athletes. We have made a commitment to all of our student-athletes to provide them with the best tools available as they pursue their greatest athletic, academic and personal goals. That includes building and maintaining the best environments possible in which to train, compete, learn and recuperate, while also providing exciting, hospitable venues for fans as they attend events on our campus.

When it comes to maintaining our competitive advantage in this critical area there is always a need for capital gifts.

For more information, or to give toward a current or planned capital project, please contact the BAA office.

Booster Clubs
Many sports at OBU have their own booster clubs and donors have the opportunity to direct gifts to a specific program or programs. Booster club donations provide a supplement to individual sport budgets and can be used for items such as team travel, uniforms, etc.

Please note that gifts to individual sports do not count toward BAA giving or benefits levels.

Starting Five Endowments
While annual BAA donations help provide support for OBU student-athletes, OBU Athletics has made it a goal to endow scholarships for each sport we sponsor. Through the Starting Five endowment program, we aim to create five endowed scholarships for each Bison varsity program.

A Starting Five endowed scholarship begins at $10,000, and allows a donor to create a named scholarship for the sport of their choosing. Once fully funded, the donor will be recognized with a framed jersey and picture of the student-athlete currently receiving the scholarship.

For additional information or questions about this important program, please contact the BAA office.
