The 2016 Olympic Games
Five athletes with Oklahoma Baptist ties will be representing five different nations in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Former Lady Bison track and field athletes Akela Jones and Nickiesha Wilson will compete for Barbados and Jamaica, respectively, while four-time national champion Michael Rodgers runs for Team USA.
The OBU swimming and diving program is also represented with letterwinner A.J. Barbar competing for Lebanon and Ines Remersaro making her second straight Olympic appearance for Uruguay.
The 2016 Rio Olympics open Aug. 5 and run through Aug. 21.
