Capital Gifts

First class facilities are not just important for recruiting the best and brightest student-athletes. We have made a commitment to all of our student-athletes to provide them with the best tools available as they pursue their greatest athletic, academic and personal goals. That includes building and maintaining the best environments possible in which to train, compete, learn and recuperate, while also providing exciting, hospitable venues for fans as they attend events on our campus.

When it comes to maintaining our competitive advantage in this critical area there is always a need for capital gifts. Facility enhancements are a significant strategic emphasis for OBU at the NCAA Division II level.

Noble Complex Renovations
The home of Bison basketball since 1982, the Noble Complex was renovated in 2007 with the addition of new locker rooms and office space for the men’s and women’s basketball programs, as well as campus multi-purpose space in the Mabee Suite. Since the 2007 renovations, only minor cosmetic enhancements have been completed in the team areas, while little has changed in regards to the lobby and other fan amenities.

As the Bison basketball programs continue to gain prominence at the NCAA Division II level, significant facility enhancements are necessary to build upon OBU’s championship tradition. With a primary focus on the student-athlete experience – specifically locker rooms and a much-needed team film theater – this project will make a substantial impact on the culture of Bison basketball and serve as a point of pride for both current and future members of the program.

Project Highlights:
• State-of-the-art team film room
• Custom theater-style seating
• High definition video projector
• State-of-the-art sound system

The addition of a new high definition video board at Bison Field at Ford Park will significantly enhance the game day experience at OBU baseball, both for fans, as well as for student-athletes and coaches. The state-of-the-art digital display will allow for enhanced multimedia and interactive elements, as well as replay and highlights, while the large, LED scoreboard will enhance the traditional ballpark feel.

This project recognizes Bison baseball's tradition of excellence under Hall of Fame head coach Bobby Cox. The addition of the video board reflects OBU's commitment to comprehensive excellence as a member of NCAA Division II and positions it as a leader in the Great American Conference with respect to facility enhancements.

Project Highlights:
• 27'6" high x 25' wide overall dimensions
• 13'6" high x 24'4" wide video display
