Golden Suns Spoil Bison Sweep

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Oklahoma Baptist saw a late lead slip away Saturday as Arkansas Tech rallied for a 4–3 walk‑off victory in the series finale at the Chartwells Women's Sports Complex. The loss dropped the No. 17 Bison to 36–11 on the season, while the Golden Suns improved to 32–11.

Arkansas Tech struck first in the bottom of the opening inning. Anna Winkfield doubled to deep center and later scored on a sacrifice fly from Aubree Jones, giving the Golden Suns an early 1–0 advantage.

The lead doubled in the third when Aaliyah Dixon launched a solo home run to right field, stretching the margin to 2–0.
Oklahoma Baptist got on the board in the fourth. Katelyn Kilgore worked a walk and moved to third on a double by Greenlee Wells. With two outs, Abby Laskowski drew a bases‑loaded walk to bring the Bison within one.

OBU pulled ahead in the sixth with one swing. After Wells reached base, Ally Ryan crushed a two‑run home run to left field, flipping the score to 3–2 in favor of the Bison.

Arkansas Tech answered in the bottom of the seventh. Miya Curry reached base and advanced into scoring position before scoring on a wild pitch to tie the game. Moments later, Caroline Wilhelm delivered a walk‑off RBI single to right center to seal the win.

Naomi Redman took the loss in relief for Oklahoma Baptist, allowing two runs over 4.1 innings. Aly White earned the win for Arkansas Tech, pitching the final 1.2 innings without allowing a hit.
