Sheyanne Sandoval walked and
Kylie Kawamura singled. After a double steal,
Asia Henry came to the plate and lofted a deep drive to right center to score Sandoval on a sacrifice fly and take the early 1-0 lead.
Newman would get two runs back, bringing on Younce from the pen. The sophomore righty was excellent, going 3.2 innings pitched and allowing no runs on one hit with six strikeouts.
Trailing in the bottom of the second,

In the fourth, Milanic and Anderson led the inning off with back-to-back singles. After a double steal from pinch runner
Reagan Ford and Anderson,
