SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist women's lacrosse team fell in heartbreaker to Maryville 10-9. The Saints put up the game winning goal in the final 10 seconds. Five Bison all got on the score board. With four of the five posting two goals apiece.

Emery Kennedy all scored two goals apiece.
Madison Gordon rounded out the scoring for the Bison putting up one. Bison goalkeeper
Olivia Ward finished the afternoon with 11 saves. The Bison put up 18 shots with 17 being on goal.

Maryville struck first gaining a 2-0 lead in the first 15 minutes. The Bison then answered back putting up two goals off the stick of Kennedy to take a 2-2 tie into the half. In the second period, after a Saints goal, the Bison put up three straight goals to take a 5-3 lead. Skomp, Morgan, and York posted the goals respectively. The Saints then went on three goal run to take a 6-5 lead. The Bison did not flinch, answering with two goals of their own. The two teams then traded goals with the Bison tying it at 9-9 with less than three minutes left. The Saints in the final 10 seconds scored on penalty, sealing the game away.

The Bison will look to rebound next week when they take on Rockhurst. First draw is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20.
