LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- The OBU softball team came back for another doubleheader on day two of the Vegas Desert Stinger, this time against Minot State and UC-San Diego, falling in both contests.

OBU got on board first against Minot State with two runs in the top of the first inning from
Shelby Savage and
Kylie Kawamura. After giving up four runs in the bottom of the first,
Emily Smith answered with a homer for OBU's final run for the game. Minot State went on to win 11-3.

Kawamura had two hits in three at-bats, while Smith went 2-2 while also logging an RBI, along with
Cheyenne Demaree and
Katelyn Marsh who each had one RBI.Â

The second game on the day saw the Bison take on UC-San Diego with the Tritons winning the contest, 6-1.

Oklahoma Baptist will get one more crack at the Vegas Desert Stinger when they face the University of Mary on Sunday, Feb. 2. After that, the Bison will make their way back east, as they are scheduled to play in the Lubbock Christian Invitational, Feb. 7-8.
