MINOT, N.D. – A goal in the final minutes of regulation spoiled the Oklahoma Baptist season opener as they fell 1-0 to Bemidji State at Herb Parker Stadium Thursday afternoon.

The Lady Bison (0-1) played a scoreless match at the neutral site until the Beavers (1-0) scored on a free kick from 28 yards out in the 89
th minute. Dani Nelson scored the game-winner for Bemidji State.

OBU was limited to four shots for the match but all four attempts tested the keeper, including three shots on goal in the second half.
Emmily Infante led the charge with two shots with
Ruth King and
Hannah White taking one shot apiece.

Emily Griffith had four saves while playing all 90 minutes in the opener as the Beavers took 11 total shots but only managed four on target.

Oklahoma Baptist will wrap up the current road trip on Saturday, facing Minot State at 1 p.m. in the first true road test of the season.
