ALVA – Oklahoma Baptist split two games at Northwestern Oklahoma State Friday to take the series, 3-1.

The Lady Bison took the opener 16-8 before falling 6-3 in the finale.

Cheyenne Demaree drove in seven runs in the opener.

Dani Manning walked and scored on a double by Demaree in the first inning for a 1-0 lead, but NWOSU scored five in the bottom of the first.

OBU erupted for seven runs in the second inning.
Kristen Grabin doubled, Manning walked and
Katie Reyes singled to load the bases ahead of Demaree's grand slam.

After a pair of walks,
Shelby Savage gave the Lady Bison the lead with a two-run double and then scored on a single by Grabin for an 8-5 lead.

OBU scored eight in the fourth. Reyes doubled and scored on a double by Demaree.
Taylor Zanca walked and
Bry Flanagan singled to load the bases.
Aspen Grimes produced an RBI single, Savage got an RBI walk and
Miranda Garza singled in a run for a 12-5 lead.

Grabin brought in a run on a fielder's choice. Reyes singled in the 15
th run and Demaree brought in the 16
th with a sacrifice fly.

Northwestern scored three in the bottom of the fourth.

OBU had 13 hits, led by Demaree and Reyes with three each and Grimes and Grabin with two apiece.

Chandler Roberts got her first collegiate win with four innings of relief with Zanca throwing a shutout fifth inning.

OBU tied the game in the third inning with a solo home run by
Dani Manning.
Aspen Grimes homered in the fourth to make it a 4-2 game.

Reyes singled, stole second and scored on a double by Demaree to pull OBU to within 6-3 in the fifth inning.

OBU finished the game with nine hits. Manning, Demaree and Grabin had two hits each.

The Lady Bison return to action Tuesday at 4 p.m. with a home doubleheader against Southern Nazarene.
