Lady Bison Fall to Bronchos in Regional

EDMOND, Oklahoma – Oklahoma Baptist's first trip to the Division II Central Regional was cut short as the No. 8-seed Lady Bison fell to top-seed Central Oklahoma, 2-0, on Friday afternoon at Tom Thompson Soccer Field in Edmond.
 
Oklahoma Baptist, the Great American Conference regular season and tournament champions, conclude the season with a 15-5-1 record. It's the fourth time in five years, as well as the third straight season, that OBU reached the 15-win mark under head coach Mike White.
 
The Lady Bison defense was peppered for 15 shots in the first, but Emily Griffith proved strong in goal, collecting six saves to preserve a scoreless tie going into halftime. Unfortunately for OBU, the offensive pressure by UCO finally got the best of the defense in the second half and the Bronchos scored two goals in the span of just under two minutes in the 64th and 66th minutes.
