SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist snapped its 10-game losing streak and hopped right back into the Great American Conference men's soccer race with a 2-1 double-overtime win over front-running Southern Nazarene Tuesday on OBU's Senior Night.

Alejandro Castillo leveled a free kick through the hands of the SNU keeper and into the net with 3:56 showing on the second overtime clock for the game-winner.

After a scoreless first half, OBU got on the board with a goal from
Sean Grilley, who took a quick pass from
Alec Young for a 1-0 lead in the 52
nd minute.

SNU answered just 37 seconds later with Brock Massie scoring off an assist from Marcel Joseph.
Â
Southern Nazarene out-shot the Bison 26-21 through 90 minutes, but OBU launched seven shots in the extra time while allowing the Crimson Storm just one attempt.

Jesus Andrade took six of OBU's 28 shots while
Bruno Ferreira posted a team-high three shots on goal. Castillo,
Martin Romero and Andrade had two on-target shots as well.

Parker Lawter turned away eight Southern Nazarene shots for the win.

With the victory, OBU improves to 2-10 overall and 1-2 in the GAC. The Bison are now one game back of SNU and Ouachita Baptist and tied with Harding for third.

OBU recognized its eight seniors prior to the game, saying a Bison Hill farewell to
Jacob Tunney, Young, Romero,
Jonathan Martinez,
Trevin Hicks,
Abdoulaye Bah, Andrade and
Jonathan Frank.
