BOLIVAR, Mo. – Oklahoma Baptist posted its second consecutive win Thursday, besting Southwest Baptist 6-3.

OBU's six goals represent a new season high, topping the four-goal outing earlier this week at Southern Nazarene.

The Bison got on the board quickly with
Dominic Gibson scoring in the fifth minute with an assist by
Alejandro Castillo.

Castillo got another assist in the ninth minute with
Jonathan Martinez getting the goal.

OBU went ahead 3-0 in the 27
th minute when
Jesus Andrade scored.
Alec Young picked up the assist.

SBU got its first goal in the 49
th minute but the Bison answered with a goal by
JuAn Kim with an assist by
Alejandro Yanez to make it 4-1 in the 64
th minute.

Eric Sala scored with an assist by Young in the 72
nd minute to make it 5-1, but SBU scored on a penalty kick to make it 5-2 in the 73
rd minute.

Jonathan Frank converted a penalty kick in the 89
th minute for the final margin.

The Bison launched 14 shots to SBU's 13 and put nine shots on goal. Ferreira led OBU with four shots while Frank had three shots on goal.

Parker Lawter got the win in goal, collecting five saves.

Now 4-12, the Bison play at Upper Iowa Saturday in Fayette, Iowa, with a noon start.
