SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist men's soccer slipped to their second-straight Great American Conference defeat, dropping a 1-0 decision to Ouachita Baptist on Saturday afternoon at the OBU Soccer Complex.
Â
The Bison conceded the match's only goal in the 22nd minute. Oklahoma Baptist thought they'd tied the match up late when
Austin Needham got on the end of a
Stormy Arledge cross, but the header that looked destined for the top right corner of Ouachita's goal was headed away by a defender at the last moment.
Â
Overall, OBU took 19 shots over 90 minutes of action, including 11 in the second half, but just five were on target for OBU.
Â
Oklahoma Baptist (4-7-1, 2-3 GAC) takes a break from GAC play next week with two nonconference opponents. The Bison will return to action on Thursday, Oct. 19 when they face Upper Iowa at 5 p.m. in Shawnee.
