SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist women's soccer further solidified their Great American Conference credentials with a 3-1 win over Harding on Thursday night at the OBU Soccer Complex.

The Lady Bison got on the board first thanks to an HU own goal in just the eighth minute off a corner kick taken by
Kerregan Edwards. Unfortunately, Harding eventually found an equalizer in the 38th minute to send the teams into halftime knotted up at 1-1.

Oklahoma Baptist's offense came alive in the second half, outshooting Harding, 11-4, and were rewarded justly.
Abigail Parker scored what would prove to be the match-winner in the 77th minute after a free kick from the centerline by
Jennifer Goethe bounced over the defense. Parker crashed in from the left wing and sent a low, hard shot back across the face of HU's goalkeeper to give OBU the advantage.

Ruth King added an insurance goal in the 83rd minute after an incisive through-ball
Emmily Infante put OBU's leading scorer in on goal with little pressure.

Oklahoma Baptist (11-1-1, 6-0-1 GAC) maintains their lead in the GAC with the win. They'll return to action on Saturday, Oct. 14 when they take on Ouachita Baptist at the OBU Soccer Complex at 1 p.m.
