KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Oklahoma Baptist men's soccer fell 3-5 to Southwestern Christian in the semifinals of the NCCAA National Championship Friday evening.

The Bison fell behind early after two Eagles (14-5-5) goals in the first 11 minutes.
Luis Romero scored an unassisted goal and then assisted
Matthew Giudice to tie up the match with eight minutes remaining in the first half. After two more goals from SCU,
Vicente Castillo netted a penalty kick in the second half for his 14th goal of the season. The Eagles scored their final goal six minutes after the penalty kick.
Thomas Ackernecht made four saves while allowing five goals in the loss.

Oklahoma Baptist closes out the 2016 campaign with a record of 14-9-2. The Bison were crowned regular season Great American Conference champions with a 5-1 record in their second year of league play.
