Lady Bison Fall at ECU

ADA - Oklahoma Baptist finished off its Great American Conference schedule in women's soccer with a 4-2 loss at East Central Monday.

Taylor Kennedy put ECU ahead 1-0 in the sixth minute, but Shelbie Shawn tied the match at 1-1 in the 30th minute with her second goal of the season.


Sitona Holm put the Tigers ahead 2-1 40 seconds into the second half and Kennedy got her second goal of the day to make it 3-1 in the 61st minute. ECU had its biggest lead on a Summer Witt goal in the 75th minute.

Mikayla Lowery got the game's final goal for the Lady Bison in the 80th minute for her fourth goal of the season.

OBU had 16 shots, seven of which were on goal. Shawn had three shots on goal while Lowery, Jennifer Goethe, Laci Williams and Kelsey Lowe had one each.

Emma Beck recorded 10 saves.

Now 5-10 on the season, the Lady Bison finish off the regular season with two games in Mobile, Alabama. OBU takes on Palm Beach Atlantic on Friday and Southern Wesleyan Saturday.
