A seven-time NAIA champion as a member of the OBU track and field program, Kyli (Bean) Wood earned 20 All-American honors and was a member of two NAIA indoor national championship teams.
At the 2005 NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championship, Wood helped seal a national title by anchoring the 4x400 relay team (Keyonna Hornbuckle, Melissa Mount, Kyta Ferrer, Wood) to a then school record 3:49.24. As anchor, Wood let herself get passed and then overtook the competitors for the win. At the same event, she finshed second in the 600 meters to teammate Keyonna Hornbuckle.
Wood was a member of relay teams that previously held school records in both the indoor 4x400 and outdoor 4x800 relays.
She is a management analyst who lives in Shawnee with her husband Tyler and three daughters.
