Bowers Earns GAC Honor

SHAWNEE – The Great American Conference Wednesday named Oklahoma Baptist's Alex Bowers its Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
 
Bowers, a junior from Duncan, picked up two wins as the Lady Bison opened the spring season with a 6-3 victory against Washburn, the No. 9 team in the ITA Regional Rankings. She paired with Caroline Abbe to defeat Aly Burr and Madison Lysaught, 8-3, at No. 3 doubles and beat Alysha Nowacki in straight sets at the No. 4 position.
